Angelo Flaccavento

Angelo Flaccavento

The unexpected combination of prose and fashion has always fascinated Angelo Flaccavento. He fuses the two seamlessly together in his columns for The Business of Fashion and Il Sole 24 Ore. He’s an editor at large at Vogue Italia and also contributes to L’Officiel Italia, Fantastic Man, WSJ, Purple Fashion and Studio. His critical but nuanced tone of voice and delicious prose is what keeps these magazines coming back to him. Furthermore, Flaccavento also curated the exhibitions Due o tre cose che so di Ciro and Il signor Nino for Fondazione Pitti Discovery in Florence in 2017 and 2015 respectively. Fashion never fails to captivate Flaccavento because he believes it’s the most direct reflection of society. Interestingly, his own style (read: impressive collection of perfectly tailored blazers and colourful beanies) perfectly reflects his introverted but eccentric personality. Flaccavento actually works out of Sicily and is therefore constantly travelling on assignments. In short: someone definitely well worth listening to during his visit at Fashion Talks!
